This Privacy Policy explains how Prefix Infotech Private Limited ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use SensyChat (the "Service"). It applies to account holders, their team members, and — where relevant — the end customers they message through the Service.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email, phone number, business name, and password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text).
• WhatsApp business data: the messages, contacts, templates, and campaign data you send or receive through your connected WhatsApp number, processed on your behalf via Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API.
• Billing information: plan, invoice, and payment status. Card, UPI, and bank details are collected and processed directly by our payment partners (Razorpay and/or Cashfree) — we do not receive or store your full card or bank account numbers on our servers.
• Usage & log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and API request logs, used for security, debugging, and improving the Service.

2. How we use this information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service (sending/receiving WhatsApp messages, running the AI assistant and bots, generating analytics).
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To send account, billing, and service-related emails (and, where you've opted in, product updates).
• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of Meta's WhatsApp policies or our Terms.

3. Third parties we share data with

We share data only where necessary to run the Service:

• Meta / WhatsApp Cloud API — to deliver and receive the messages you send through the Service.
• Payment gateways (Razorpay, Cashfree) — to process subscription payments securely; they are independent data controllers for the payment details you enter with them.
• Email/SMTP provider — to send transactional emails such as verification and password-reset links.
• Hosting infrastructure — our servers, used to store and run the application.

We do not sell your personal data or your customers' WhatsApp data to third parties for advertising.

4. Data retention

We retain account and messaging data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations or to resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account data as described in Section 6 below, subject to records we are legally required to keep (such as payment records).

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures — password hashing, HTTPS in transit, and access controls — to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable any additional security options we offer for your account.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or ask us to export your data, by writing to privacy@sensychat.in. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable Indian data protection law.

7. Cookies

We use essential session cookies to keep you logged in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies within the dashboard.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18.
